Nature and Wildlife at Prani — The Pet Sanctuary
A full-day educational animal experience for school students at Prani, a rescue and care sanctuary home to over 700 animals. Students spend the day in guided contact with rodents, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and large mammals, touching, feeding, bathing, and learning from the people who care for them every day. It is the kind of encounter that changes how a child sees the world.

Why Prani
Compassion is not something you can teach from a textbook. This school trip to Prani puts students face to face with living creatures that need care, attention, and patience, and in doing so, quietly builds all three. It is one of the most genuinely moving days a younger student can have outside the classroom.

Journey Overview
The Shape of the Day
Prani runs at the pace of the animals that live there, which is exactly what makes it different from every other nature and animal day trip for schools. Every visit is guided by the sanctuary team and structured around direct, respectful engagement with the animals in their care. Detailed itineraries are shared exclusively with confirmed institutional partners.

Arrival and Orientation
Students arrive at Prani and are welcomed by the sanctuary team and their TMC facilitator. Before meeting the animals, students are introduced to the sanctuary, its rescue mission, and how to interact respectfully with the animals they are about to encounter.

Into the Sanctuary
Under professional guidance, students touch, hold, pet, feed, and bathe animals across species including birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, and large mammals. They observe parents caring for young ones and take part in a structured interactive session on human-animal relationships, different kinds of animals, and how to care for them.

Reflection and Return
After lunch, the TMC facilitator brings students together for a short conversation about what they saw, what surprised them, and what they want to learn more about. Students leave Prani full of stories, new favourites among the animals, and questions they did not have when they arrived.
