Nature and Wildlife at Big Barn
A full-day educational farm trip at an actual organic-certified farm near Bannerghatta National Park. Students get to be farmers for a day, feeding animals, going on a barn safari by tractor, gardening, and discovering where food really comes from. It is not a resort or a theme park. It is the real thing.

Why Big Barn
Most children grow up eating food they have never seen grown. This school farm trip changes that in the most direct way possible, by putting students in the middle of a working farm, with real animals, real soil, and real people who care deeply about both. It is one of those experiences that children talk about for years.

Journey Overview
The Shape of the Day
Big Barn is an organic-certified working farm near Bannerghatta National Park, and it runs on farm time, not school time. Every farm field trip for students we bring here is structured around the rhythms of the farm itself. Detailed itineraries are shared exclusively with confirmed institutional partners.

Arrival and Orientation
Students arrive at Big Barn and are welcomed by the farm team and their TMC facilitator. The farm environment is introduced and students are briefed on how to interact respectfully with the animals and the land before the day begins.

Into the Farm
Students move through a range of farm activities including animal feeding and petting, a barn safari by tractor, gardening, bird watching basics, and cow milking. Every activity is guided and structured around observation, curiosity, and direct engagement with the natural world.

Reflection and Return
Students wrap up the day with snacks on the farm before heading back. The TMC facilitator closes with a short conversation about what students noticed, what surprised them, and what they want to find out more about. Some questions about the natural world are best started in a field, not a classroom.
